Song brocade for jewelry on the move
This small orange jewelry travel kit brings a richly patterned textile to everyday storage. Its deep-blue cushioned interior has five ring positions, with room for a necklace or other small jewelry pieces. The outside measures approximately 9.5 cm long, 3 cm wide, and 3 cm high. Each open half is about 1 cm deep.
Sunxi Craft repurposes surplus Song brocade offcuts from clothing production to create these cases. Song brocade is a Chinese patterned weaving tradition associated with Suzhou; brocades of this tradition have historically been used to mount paintings and calligraphy and are now also used in clothing and accessories. The orange pattern gives this small case its layered color and detail.
This listing is for the orange kit only. The pale blue kit is a separate item. Newly made kits in other colors can have their own distinct patterns.
A Fire-inspired color story
